Starting the import cat registration in Omakissa

  • Go to the “Cats” tab and select “Add Cat.”
  • Enter the cat’s microchip number. Omakissa will check if the cat’s microchip is already in the registry. If the microchip is found in the registry, you cannot start the import cat registration in Omakissa; instead, you must first contact theKissaliitto office. If the microchip is not found in the registry, select “Start registration.”
  • Fill out the form carefully; mandatory fields are marked with an asterisk (*). Attach a copy of the import cat’s official pedigree and any other necessary attachments (e.g., transfer). Then click “Save.”
  • Omakissa will generate an invoice for the import cat registration. When paying the invoice, do not modify the details (such as the amount or reference number).
  • Send the original registration certificate of the import cat to the Kissaliitto to complete the registration process. If the original pedigree of the import cat is digital, it is sufficient to add it to Omakissa. A paper pedigree should be mailed to the Kissaliitto’s office. A copy of the registration certificate added to Omakissa is sufficient for those FIFe member associations with a public registration database (SVERAK, NRR, FD, and FPL). The import cat can participate in exhibitions once all the necessary registration information has been submitted to the Kissaliitto and the registration fee has been paid.
